Book Giveaway Hop, Middle Grade Dystopia

Best of Summer 2013 Kid Lit Giveaway Hop - Button

Welcome to the Best of Summer 2013 Kid Lit Giveaway Hop and a big thanks to our hosts at Mother Daughter Book Reviews and Youth Literature Reviews. I’m glad you’re here. I hope you’ll hop around and find something you like.

I’m Author S. Smith, and I’d like to introduce you to my Seed Savers Series. Reviewers have said “this series fills the void for younger-audience dystopians,” and “everyone should read this book.”

Seed Savers isn’t your typical bleak, violent dystopia. Think Little House on the Prairie, Anne of Green Gables meets The Giver or Fahrenheit 451; this is why it’s totally appropriate for kids as young as nine (or possibly younger). The stories take place in a not-too-distant future where gardening is illegal, corporations own the seeds, and real food is no longer available. Three children are on a quest to learn about gardening and make a change back to the old ways.

The Seed Savers Series consists of five books, the first two,Treasure and Lily, are out now,Ā  and the third, Heirloom, this coming November. You may find out more about them on my website, or on their pages at Amazon. If you think they sound like something you’d like to read, I invite you to sign up below to win a free book. And if you don’t win this time, I usually have monthly sales on the e-books, so keep in touch!

Two winners will be chosen via random.org and the Giveaway is open internationally. The first person will get a copy of Treasure, and the second, a copy of Lily. Ways to Enter

1) Leave a comment and your email in the comment section below answering this question: What is/was one of your favorite books to reread? Doesn’t have to be MG or children’s books, but think of those if you can. (1 entry)

My favorite reread books are: Fahrenheit 451, Peace Like a River, and The Secret Life of Bees. When I was younger I often reread the Chronicles of Narnia, much like my children now reread the Harry Potter books.
